The NSO Symphony Orchestra performed a middle east premiere of Japanese composer Keiichiro Shibuya's android opera Scary Beauty for the Sharjah Arts Foundation’s 'Sharjapan 2' event.  An  orchestral performance, conducted by an artificially intelligent (AI) humanoid, explored the relationship between terror and beauty and humanity's fear of being made redundant in the future. A musically challenging modern orchestral piece, NSO was able to provide an international level quality performance to this exciting work.
