BLUE PLANET LIVE IN CONCERT ON 12 & 13 DECEMBER 2014

For the first time in Arabia, the BBC's award winning series, 'Blue Planet', will be brought to life in concert in Abu Dhabi as the 'Blue Planet in Concert' opens the Volvo Ocean Race's Destination Village on 12 & 13 December 2014.

George Fenton, the Oscar-nominated composer and conductor, will lead the NSO Symphony Orchestra in performing a specially composed score with the best footage from the TV series shown on a 12-metre widescreen video wall.

The 75 piece orchestra will delight audiences with its magnificent performance from a specially designed floating stage on the water just off Abu Dhabi's stunning Corniche. With the city's spectacular evening skyline serving as a dramatic backdrop, the concert nights will be a perfect start to the Volvo Ocean Race's series of events over the festive period.
